Where Venetian tradition meets Sicilian flavors.
A warm welcome from Giorgio and Brvno
OUR WAY
From Sicily to the Venetian Lagoon: tradition with a brand-new taste.
Born from the old deli on Via Garibaldi, Osteria Salumeria is where Venice’s love of togetherness meets the warmth of Sicily.
Everything you taste here is guided by a clear idea: our bread and baked goods come out of our oven every morning, while our products, ingredients, and wines come from small producers—friends first, suppliers second—who share our obsession with quality.
We’re not just a restaurant. We’re an extended family, ready to welcome you in.

Giorgio Cvnsolo
The Chef – Sicilian by birth, Venetian by choice. In the kitchen, Giorgio is a tireless alchemist: he starts with traditional recipes and reimagines them using modern techniques. His favorite game? Contrast. Expect flavors that challenge each other and unexpected textures that wake up your palate.
Brvno Natvral
The Host – The one who greets you at the door and makes you feel at home right away. Bruno is the soul of the dining room: he’ll guide you through a glass of wine and a story about the most authentic Venice—or about that friend who brought him cheese straight from a mountain dairy hut. For him, hospitality isn’t a job. It’s a way of life.
the menv
Venice in our heart, the South in our soul.

Our kitchen is a mapless journey that brings together the best of two lands. We start with the great classics and let them mingle with the sun-soaked influences of Southern Italy. But for us, tradition is only the starting point.
Every dish is designed to surprise: modern cooking techniques, textures that shift with every bite, and ingredients sourced as close to home as possible.
Whether you’re here for a quick lunch or a long, leisurely dinner, you’ll always find our house-made bread and a menu that follows the rhythm of the seasons.
OUR DINING ROOM

Salumeria’s hidden heart—come take a seat inside.
From the outside, you might think Salumeria is all about wine and cicchetti at the counter—but there’s more.
Just beyond the entrance, our little dining room awaits: an intimate, thoughtfully designed hideaway, far from the city’s bustle.
It’s perfect for winter evenings or for anyone looking for privacy and quiet.
A few tables, warm lights, and a softly hushed atmosphere where time seems to slow down.
Book now
Limited seats—worth it.
Stopping by is always a good idea, but to make sure we can seat you right away and make you feel at home, we recommend booking ahead. Whether it’s a romantic dinner, a get-together with friends, or a night of discovering our flavors, a message or a quick call helps us prepare to welcome you at our best.
TAKE AWAY
The taste of Salumeria—wherever you want it.
Whether you’re heading to the Biennale Gardens, hopping on a boat, or simply strolling through the city, don’t compromise on quality. Our takeout menu is made with the same care as the dishes we serve at the table—perfect for a quick gourmet break or an easy aperitivo on the go.
You’ll find:
- The Salumeria Sandwich: Not your usual sandwich. Our freshly baked, crisp, fragrant bread filled with chef-crafted gourmet pairings. (TBD)
- The Salumeria Toast: A classic taken to the next level, with carefully selected ingredients and our artisanal touch. (TBD)
- Charcuterie Board & Wine: A selection of cured meats and cheeses from small producers, ready to enjoy anywhere—ideally with a great bottle. (TBD)
WHERE TO FIND US
VENEZIA CASTELLO
We’re on Via Garibaldi, in the Castello district—right between art and sport, between the Biennale and Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo (Venezia FC). It’s one of the few streets in Venice where you can still breathe in real local life—so for that, we have to thank Napoleon.
